Social Media Coordinator
Position Summary
The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for managing and growing the organization’s online presence through consistent, engaging, and mission-focused communication across social media and email platforms. This role helps increase community awareness, volunteer engagement, donor support, and participation in programs and events.
The Social Media Coordinator will work closely with the organization’s Marketing Advisor and leadership team to identify communication priorities, highlight organizational impact, and promote current needs, services, events, and success stories.
Key Responsibilities

Create and publish social media content several times per week across:

Facebook

Instagram
-
LinkedIn

Develop and distribute email blasts and digital communications

Promote organizational programs, donation needs, volunteer opportunities, events, sponsorships, and community partnerships

Highlight success stories, impact updates, and recipient gratitude

Coordinate with the Marketing Advisor to determine communication priorities and campaign needs

Maintain a consistent brand voice and positive public image

Assist with event promotion before, during, and after events

Respond to basic social media inquiries and direct messages as assigned

Monitor engagement and help grow audience reach and community interaction

Ensure content is professional, accurate, and aligned with organizational values
Preferred Qualifications

Strong written communication skills

Experience managing social media platforms for organizations or businesses

Basic graphic design experience preferred (Canva or similar platforms)

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Organized, creative, and detail-oriented

Passion for community service and supporting vulnerable youth and familie
