VOLUNTEER TRAINING ANNOUNCEMENT!

Join us for Volunteer Training on Sunday, September 1 from 2 PM - 4 PM at the farm!

We’ll answer everything you ever wanted to know (but were afraid to ask) about caring for our horses and the facility, and supporting participants while they work with our healing herd. This training is appropriate both for new and experienced volunteers.

Topics on our agenda include:

-Equine communication and grooming
-Supporting participants engaged in groundwork with program equines
-Assisting with mounting and dismounting
-Horse handling and sidewalking during mounted sessions
-Caring for and applying tack and equipment
-Turndown procedures (aka cleaning the perfect stall)
