Artist, Elizabeth Turk a MacArthur Genius Grant recipient, has come “inland” to develop two experiential events on the airstrip at Oak Spring Garden Foundation on October 1, 2022, and October 2, 2022. She has artistically designed battery-powered umbrellas depicting plant endangerment and habitat destruction in our region. Volunteers are needed to assist with a variety of tasks in order for these events to be successful. Please join us to place batteries in the 525 umbrellas and test them upon their arrival from the UK, this September. The volunteer opportunity will take place at the Rokeby Farm at Oak Spring Garden Foundation on September 15, 2022, beginning at 3:30 in the afternoon. The address is 8614 Mill Reef Rd, Upperville, VA 20184.
Light refreshments will be provided
The health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and community are our utmost priority. This volunteer opportunity will be outdoors in an open-air location.
