Are you a veteran or active duty service member? We are in need of those who have served or are currently serving in our Great Military. Military Volunteers are needed to become a "battle" to a veteran in hospice care. Our veterans proudly and courageously served and now it's our turn to serve them.
Battle Buddies are "friends" and call our veterans each week for a friendly visit. Veterans often will confide in another veteran before talking to a civilian. You speak the same language and "get it" This is a very meaningful way of supporting veterans. You will hear their stories which are remarkable. You will be their "battle"
We also perform veterans ceremonies which are an outstanding way of celebrating the service of our veterans. It is wonderful.
Due to COVID restrictions Battle Buddies are not seeing Veterans in person but they can visit via zoom, phone and do ceremonies via zoom.
