This position will offer 20-40 hours per week. Specific schedules are flexible within our core business hours (9:30AM -- 4:30PM). 

The Administrative and Program Assistant Intern should possess a passion for growth and creativity with exceptional communication, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

- Support day-to-day operations of a small non-profit organization. 
- Room set-up for workshops, trainings. 
- Data entry, photocopying, filing, scanning for archiving project and e-filing documents. 
- Print various materials and update program resources. 
- Answer phones, greet/welcome guests and students. 
- Proofread and edit publications, flyers, documents, and correspondences. 
- Assist with program planning and logistics. 
- Provide general administrative support and maintain files and documents. 
- Assist with scheduling of tours and field trips. 
- Engage with community, recruit volunteers, lead successful fundraisers, and raise awareness of individuals with special needs. 
- Assist with coordination of event logistics. 
- Community and partnership outreach. 
- Assist with print and electronic newsletters. 
- Perform other related tasks assigned by Your Sunshine staff members. 

Requirements

- Interested and familiar with education, special needs education, digital marketing and social media. 
- Strong written and oral communications skills and attention to detail 
- Professional demeanor, excellent problem-solving skills, organizational abilities, and inter-personal skills 
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people, both independently and as part of a team. 
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision. 
- Solid written and oral communication skills and excellent phone manner. 
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. 
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential. 
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable. 
- Team player who works well with others and isn’t afraid to ask questions. 
- Detail-oriented, cares about how our communications will impact thousands of people.
