Description

Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE), Loudoun is partnering with INOVA to deliver the INOVA Healthy Plate Club classroom lessons.  Educators teach students through age-appropriate games and activities about eating right with the five food groups, detecting sugar in drinks, eating a rainbow of colors and healthy snacks.

Through our One Time/Occasional Volunteer program, we're offering training to learn the curriculum and assist in delivering programs in Loudoun Schools.  As an Occasional VCE Volunteer, you will be vetted and able to teach nutrition and healthy eating in schools.  See other volunteer opportunities posted on Loudoun Cares through VCE.

Healthy Plate curriculum includes lessons for k-6th grade.  Some programs:  Eating Right with MyPlate, Sugar Detectives, Eat a Rainbow of Colors and Healthy Snacks.
