Who We Are

At The Salvation Army, we are dedicated to Doing the Most Good.  We are a nonprofit organization that works to alleviate human suffering and distress with discrimination.  The Salvation Army is an international movement and was founded in 1865. The Salvation Army is an evangelical part of the universal Christian church.  Its’ mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human need in His name without discrimination.  The Loudoun Corps opened its’ doors about 30 years ago and focused on meeting basic human needs, especially needs related to poverty.  Realizing that many members of our community are facing unemployment, hunger, cascading bills, and threats of eviction, The Salvation Army of Loudoun is focused on helping those struggling to survive.

What We Do

The Salvation Army of Loudoun is committed to serving our community when an emergency arises and to provide tools to achieve self-sufficiency.  Our Emergency Assistance Program and Pathway of Hope program is for Loudoun residents that can prove their income is at or below the poverty level.  The Emergency Assistance program offers 1) rental assistance, 2) eviction prevention, 3) utility assistance, 4) emergency food assistance, 5) clothing vouchers 6) furniture vouchers, 7) diapers, and 8) case management.

Seasonally, we provide Christmas gifts to children through our Angel Tree program and Sheetz for Kids. We provide Thanksgiving meals to people at Thanksgiving.

Angel tree It’s that time of year again! We have many Angels that need to be adopted. If you have the ability and means to adopt, we would love to have you be a part of this amazing program. This is a great opportunity to bless the families within our community and fun activity for your family during the holidays.

If you have an interest in adopting angels, please call 571-510-2196.

Bell Ringers:  The Salvation Army’s ICONIC Red Kettle Fundraising Campaign runs from November 15, December 24, 2024. We need YOU to be a part of this event.  Just have fun, smile and be merry.  Volunteers are the difference between an empty kettle and one that raises about $30 per hour – enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries or shelter an individual for a night.  Kettles will be located at Giant, Safeway, Hobby Lobby, Sam’s Club,  and Walmart stores throughout Loudoun.
