Who We Are
The Good Shepherd Alliance is a Christian 501(c)3 non-profit organization providing help and hope for the homeless and those in need through emergency and transitional housing and outreach services leading to self-sufficiency and self-worth.
What We Do
The Good Shepherd Alliance provides homeless individuals with a warm shelter and the support for them to become self sufficient. We now have seven shelter/transitional homes. Last year we provided shelter for 121 people, representing 52 households. That's 4 men, 52 women, and 65 children. Also, we received 2,915 calls for resources and/or outreach services. Our Six Steps to Self Sufficiency Program has proven to be very successful.
Our thrift stores are a blessing to us in three ways: 1) All of our guests and outreach clients can receive free vouchers to shop for necessities; 2) The proceeds support our shelters; and 3) If items are not sold, they are sent to salvage and the funds from the salvage company, like the proceeds from our sales, support our shelters and the homeless.
Thrift stores are a great way to repurpose everything and be careful with our planet’s resources.
