Located on a 7-acre campus in the heart of historic Leesburg, The Arc of Loudoun is a full-service non-profit--THE resource in Loudoun County for children and adults with disabilities and their families who love them.
We encompass all ages and all spectrums from autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, intellectual disabilities, physical disabilities and various other developmental disabilities. Our entire staff, team of volunteers, and community is committed to creating a lifetime of opportunities for people with special needs through our five programs:
- Open Door Learning Center equips preschool children of all abilities with the social and developmental skills needed to thrive in mainstream kindergarten.
- The Aurora School helps significantly challenged students from eight counties in the greater Washington region, primarily with autism, achieve personal excellence, gain independence and vocational skills for their life.
- Ability Fitness Center is for people living with neurological disorders-stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy-giving them a one-of-a-kind place to access specialized equipment and expert clinicians.
- Aurora Behavior Clinic is where children with intellectual and development disabilities from the community have a highly-trained team of diagnosticians, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Occupational and Speech Therapists, and ABA Therapists committed to their success.
- In 2018, the ALLY "A Life Like Yours" Advocacy Center connected more than 4,000 people with disabilities, their families, caretakers, and professionals who work with them with the resources they need to live a life like yours.
