Loudoun Community Cat Coalition

The Loudoun Community Cat Coalition (LC3) incorporated in 2015 in answer to the many requests coming in to local rescue groups and our County shelter regarding community cats and kittens and the assistance that was needed from our community to help care for the cats. It was clear that no single organization could handle the influx of requests and the resources required to answer all of the calls. There are many risk factors that community cats face and we found that with each situation we needed to call on multiple organizations to handle different aspects including rescue, foster homes, law enforcement, advocacy, and most importantly our community.

We network and partner with multiple animal welfare organizations to further our mission to engage and empower our community to save the lives of community cats.

There are many different volunteer opportunities with LC3, from hands on and in the field with our Trap, Neuter, Return programs, to our spay neuter clinics, and management/administrative tasks.

Our volunteers work hard to accomplish our mission with three core areas of LC3:

TNR, or, Trap, Neuter, Return programs which include: Fix Me (mass spay neuter clinics for community cats), Fix Me Now (partner Veterinarians help with spay neuter and medical care in between clinics), and Kitten Rescue Team (foster and socialization of young kittens for adoption).

Education in the form of workshops, Facebook and other social media posts, and community outreach regarding the care of community cats and how they can live in harmony within our communities.
