Who We Are
Our Work
Since 2002 the Loudoun Free Clinic has cared for thousands of people struggling with emergency, acute and chronic medical conditions. We coordinate all of their visits, medications, tests, surgeries, and often transportation and ensure that all treatments are provided at no cost to our patients. We are funded entirely by grants and donations and supported by a network of community organizations as well as a loving and dedicated group of volunteers who staff our daytime and evening clinics to meet this critical need in our community.
Our Commitment
We are committed to making sure that no one in our community goes without medical care and have opened our doors to more people than ever before. In 2020 we treated 40% more patients due to COVID-19 – a total of 1,060, the largest year-over-year increase in our history. We provided care during 4,400 visits and distributed over 6800 prescriptions valued at approximately $1.6M. Through the tremendous support of our community we were able to provide $12.00 in medical services for every $1.00 spent.
But what we offer goes beyond medical care. Many of our patients come to us under the most difficult of circumstances, when they are sick and struggling, and when they have lost their ability to provide for their families, let alone their most basic health care needs. LFC offers expert medical care and something that cannot be measured – caring support and a community to which they can turn.
What We Do
Our Mission is to support healthcare services for Loudoun County residents who, as a result of economic or other barriers, would otherwise do without.
We provide primary care and urgent care visits for established patients, who must undergo eligibility screening. Potential patients must be age 19-64, have lived in Loudoun County for 9 months, and be within 300% of the Federal Poverty Level. Documentation to establish eligibility must be provided, and this criteria is examined annually to ensure we are serving the low-income, uninsured adult residents of Loudoun County.
