Who We Are
Mission: To honor and promote the legacy of General George C. Marshall, a distinguished American military leader and statesman.
The George C. Marshall International Center, a 501(c)3 nonprofit, is named for Nobel Peace Prize Laureate George C. Marshall, who served as chief of staff of the Army, secretary of state, secretary of defense and president of the American Red Cross. He was a principled, selfless leader who serves as a timeless example for others to follow. The Marshall Center is dedicated to translating his ideal of service to country to inspire the leaders of today and tomorrow.
What We Do
The George C. Marshall International Center operates Dodona Manor as a historic house museum at 312 East Market Street in Leesburg, Virginia. The house is home to the Marshall Center, as it was home to George and Katherine Marshall from 1941 to 1959. We conduct tours and events at Dodona Manor, General George Marshall’s home, that provides a full picture of the statesman and soldier who shaped many of the major events of the 20th Century. We also host educational programs that reflect Marshall’s principled approach to leadership.
The George C. Marshall International Center relies on memberships, corporate sponsorships, private donations and grants to fund its work. Proceeds from contributions, programs and events support our education programs and help us preserve historic Dodona Manor.
