Loudoun Cares

Loudoun Cares connects those who serve with those in need to build a stronger Loudoun County community. 

We were established in 2003 to create a nonprofit center that could provide stable and affordable rent, reduced overhead, and shared resources for area nonprofit. As the needs of the county became clearer, Loudoun Cares continued to find new ways to connect both residents and nonprofits.

The Information & Referral Helpline, opened in 2004, connects residents in need with local health and human service providers and secures emergency financial assistance through our Faith Network.

Loudoun Cares also connects volunteers to local nonprofits needing help right here on our Loudoun Cares Volunteer Center! In 2017, at the request of the Loudoun County Board of Supervisors, our Volunteer Center began to work with Loudoun County’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) to coordinate mobilization of volunteers in case of a disaster.

As our county reaches 400,000 residents, Loudoun Cares will be there to connect our residents and nonprofits. 

Loudoun Cares has a variety of programs designed to help area nonprofits and those they serve:

• Information & Referral Helpline: Offers free and confidential assistance to Loudoun residents who have questions or issues related to health and human services. Our caring and certified Information & Referral Specialists provide connections to the agencies and programs that can assist with the specific needs of our callers. 703-669-INFO (4636)

• Volunteer Center: A database resource for individuals and people to connect with nonprofit agency needs (volunteers, in-kind needs, and employment opportunities) and events within Loudoun County. (The site you're on right now!)

• Nonprofit Center: The South Street Nonprofit Center in Leesburg offers affordable rent for local nonprofits.
