Who We Are
The park needs volunteer members for the Friends of Claude Moore Park. These volunteers help with preparations and presentations of park events like the Old Fashioned Fourth of July, Autumn Faire and Arts and Crafts Festival, our historic Ordinary Times Colonial-Life in Colonial Lanesville; fund raising events like the Schoolhouse 5K, etc. They provide feedback on what works at the park, what could be improved, new ideas, etc. We also have volunteers who Adopt-a-Trail, help keep it clean and trimmed; for Earth Day Park clean-up in the spring, and more. Each spring teens can apply to be Summer Naturalist Interns and help with summer camps, habitat projects, special events, etc. We also set up one day projects for groups, such as Scouts, Corporate Volunteers, etc. We have many Scouts do volunteer projects at the park including Boy Scout Eagle Award projects and Girl Scout Gold Award Projects. We are flexible and welcome volunteers.
