UVision

Who We Are

UVision was founded by students Brandon Lee and Hannah Kim, two high school students with a shared passion to spread awareness and serve others. As student athletes exposed to the sun for many hours throughout the day, they discovered a common issue throughout the community: many people underestimate the harmful effects of different types of ultraviolet (UV) radiation, especially to their eyes and skin. Although sun damage is largely preventable, awareness about proper UV protection remains surprisingly low, especially among children and families. We founded UVision with the belief that education is one of the most powerful forms of prevention. Their goal is to make UV safety engaging, accessible, and memorable through community outreach, educational workshops, interactive activities, and innovative initiatives that encourage lifelong healthy habits. At UVision, we believe protecting your health starts with small, everyday choices. Such as wearing UV400 sunglasses, applying sunscreen, seeking shade, and understanding the UV Index. By partnering with schools, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and volunteers, we hope to build a future where protecting your eyes and skin becomes second nature. Together, we're working to create healthier communities by empowering the next generation with the knowledge and resources to protect their vision, their skin, and their future.

What We Do

"Our mission is to promote lifelong sun safety by educating communities about the harmful effects of ultraviolet (UV) radiation on the eye and skin health. Through education, community outreach, innovative prevention initiatives, and partnerships, we encourage individuals to acquire healthy sun-protection habits, reduce preventable UV-related diseases, and protect their health for years to come."
