Who We Are

We are a non-profit farm dedicated to employing special needs adults year around in a pesticide free, environmentally sustaintable farming environment while paying a living wage. Our son Thomas was the inspiration for our farm. When he graduated from high school we realized that many of his friends did not have a sense of belonging in the community. They were searching, but it wasn’t easy. We also realized that while many in the disable community want to live in an urban environment, there were others who really longed to be outside in the fresh air. Add to that Thomas’ sister who is an avid gardener and we had the makings of the farm. Receiving our nonprofit status in November 2020, we started slowly with six raised beds in 2021 and no employees. Once we had a sense of the farm flow over the year, we began hiring employees in 2022 and have grown to 20 now. The farm operates Tuesday through Friday from 10 am to 2:30 pm. Workers may work anywhere from one to four days during the week depending on their particular situation. In 2023 we added a bakery option to the employment mix and it has proved very successful. In late 2023 we opened our hydroponic greenhouse and again expanded the range of activites employees may engage in. While our goal is employing special needs adults, we also recognize the value that voluneers bring to the operation.

What We Do
