Urgently seeking help with fundraising and grant writing in order to expand our programs and classes. Your Sunshine is a 501(c) 3 charitable nonprofit organization that was founded by an individual with special needs who is passionate to serve community and to offer educational, recreational, vocational programs for other individuals with special needs and any disabilities. Your Sunshine is still in start up phase ( founded in 2016 but actively served community and schools) and seeking help from an individual with expertise and experience.

Your Sunshine’s mission is to enrich and improve the social, physical, emotional, and recreational capabilities of all children, youth, and adults, so that they can fully discover and develop their full potential in a nurturing environment, and be prepared to make a positive impact in the world. The main objective driving each new day at Your Sunshine is to turn limitations into possibilities. Our founder, Anastasia Martynova, grew up as an individual with special needs and gained lifelong insights through her first-hand experiences of what it truly feels like to be different from others. Ms. Martynova devoted to deliver the robust programs and curriculum to persons with special needs to best help them develop skills, talents, and friendships, provide the support of community, and to empower them and add worth and value to their view of themselves.

Your Sunshine has been very active at the community offering free classes, day camps inclusive for all, recreational and social events, customized birthday celebrations, and a wide array of workshops and classes. We also have been offering after-school programs that provide students with academic enrichment opportunities, as well as additional activities designed to complement the districts’ academic programs. Since the first days of our dedicated service, we engaged over 250 volunteers, conducted 50 programs, classes, and events, and touched the hearts of over 400 kids, youth, and adults. We organize annually Hidden Talents Shine Up Talent Show where performers impress the audience with their amazing performances.

Assistant to Kids Yoga Instructor - ASHBURN VA

Location: Ashburn, Aldie, Centraville, Herndon, Reston

Fairfax/Oakton, Falls Church, Alexandria, Annandale

Responsibilities:

- Energetic, reliable and self motivated person who will assist Kids Yoga Instructor during classes.
- Cultivate a friendly and nurturing environment for all students.
- Monitor classroom during yoga classes to ensure safety of all participants
- Report any abnormal conditions to the Supervisor.
- No previous background and experience necessary.

Requirements:

- Must have a passion and love working with children.

- Responsible and reliable person.

- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.

- Team player who works well with others and isn’t afraid to ask questions.

Description Your Sunshine’s mission is to enrich and improve the social, physical, emotional, and recreational capabilities of children and youth with special needs while unfolding their full potential in a nurturing environment that is integral to promoting well-being. We are devoted to live the dreams of the children, youth and adults with special needs, through unfolding their talents, creativity, gifts, and extraordinary abilities so that they may grow them! 

This position will offer 20-40 hours per week. Specific schedules are flexible within our core business hours (9:30AM -- 4:30PM). 

The Administrative and Program Assistant Intern should possess a passion for growth and creativity with exceptional communication, writing, organizational, and analytical skills.

- Room set-up for workshops, trainings. 
- Data entry, photocopying, filing, scanning for archiving project and e-filing documents. 
- Print various materials and update program resources. 
- Answer phones, greet/welcome guests and students. 
- Proofread and edit publications, flyers, documents, and correspondences. 
- Assist with program planning and logistics. 
- Provide general administrative support and maintain files and documents. 
- Assist with scheduling of tours and field trips. 
- Engage with community, recruit volunteers, lead successful fundraisers, and raise awareness of individuals with special needs. 
- Assist with coordination of event logistics. 
- Community and partnership outreach. 
- Assist with print and electronic newsletters. 
- Perform other related tasks assigned by Your Sunshine staff members.  Requirements - Interested and familiar with education, special needs education, digital marketing and social media.
