Our Mission: To connect caring volunteers with older homebound adults and adults with disabilities to provide transportation, support, and companionship—helping them live independently, feel valued, and remain connected to their community.

Our Vision: LVC envisions a community where older homebound adults and adults with disabilities live with dignity, independence, and community connection. Through the power of caring volunteers, we will cultivate a community where neighbors support neighbors, and every individual feels valued and included.

Our Core Values: We serve with compassion, honoring the dignity of every individual through empathy and kindness. We build community by fostering meaningful connections among volunteers, care receivers, and partners to strengthen Loudoun County. Through dedicated service, we improve lives through volunteerism and advocacy, and through collaboration, we unite board, staff, volunteers, and community to achieve shared goals.

Our services are made possible by cultivating strong community partnerships.  LVC partners with organizations across the county to broaden our impact. Loudoun Hunger Relief, Dulles South Food Pantry, Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Social Security Administration, Dulles Area Transportation Association (DATA), and the Loudoun Human Services Network are a few of the collaborative partnerships that help us deliver comprehensive, coordinated care.

Our Impact: In 2025, more than 200 volunteers helped transform lives across Loudoun County. Together, we provided: 5,000+ rides to medical and essential appointments, 2,200ts, 2,200, 200+ food deliveries, money management support for 56 adults, and assistance to 300+ individuals working to maintain independence.

What our Care Receivers are Saying:  “Without Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers, I wouldn’t be able to get to my doctor appointments or have groceries in my home. The volunteers make me feel like I’m not alone. They’ve truly changed my life.”

Volunteer: Gift Cards to support homebound seniors and adults with disabilities

Each year, Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers hosts a picnic for the homebound adults and adults with disabilities who are in our program.   This picnic, for many, is the only outing some of our Care Receivers attend each year.  We provide a nutritious and delicious lunch, fun, games, music and connection.

We also provide for extra needs during the holiday season through our Seasons of Giving Program, such as their favorite holiday treats, warm jammies, fuzzy socks and toiletries.  Gift Card donations help us provide these "extras" that contribute greatly to our Care Receivers' sense of well-being and belonging.

Gift cards from grocery stores, pharmacies, department stores, and other similar businesses are appreciated.  Some suggestions are:  Wegman's, Harris Teeter, Giant, Safeway, Food Lion, Aldi, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Target, Amazon, etc.

Donations may be dropped off or mailed to:

Volunteer: Deliver food to homebound care receivers

Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers provides free services to some of the most vulnerable people in Loudoun County. We serve homebound older adults and adults with disabilities who have limited resources and support.

One of the many services we provide to our Care Receivers is food delivery.  Many Care Receivers are unable to travel outside of their homes safely, limiting their access to nutritious food.  Most live all alone with minimal or no support.  Our workforce of dedicated volunteers deliver supplemental food to a neighbor in need.  Additionally, these visits serve as a supportive connection, companionship, and hope.

Our Food Delivery Program partners with Dulles South Food Pantry and Loudoun Hunger Relief, serving neighbors in Eastern and Western Loudoun County.

We look forward to meeting with you and providing you with more details about these meaningful opportunities.
