Fancy Cats Rescue Team has a quarantine facility at a private residence in Fairfax.  This quarantine houses over 30 cats who are there waiting for room at a foster home, an Adoption Center, sick, or very hard to adopt.  Many of these cats require special handling and are not very friendly to people.  We must have someone who is extremely well versed in cat care and knows how to handle difficult cats.  We will discuss the possibility of this being a paid position.

We are seeking volunteers to help maintain our social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).  This involves drafting posts to go up, increasing followers, creating/marketing events, basic marketing using Facebook ads.  Posts will focus on the veteran population, veteran & military communities & mental health issues.

This is a great opportunity for high school or university students (though all are welcome)!  Hours are flexible and this job can be done remotely.

The Youth Advisory Council of Loudoun County is actively recruiting new members on a rolling basis for the 2016-2017 academic year. 

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) consists of student representatives from Loudoun County High Schools. Students are accepted into the program each summer and meet throughout the academic year to plan youth events for their peers, develop leadership skills and get involved with community service events throughout the county. 

Requirements must be a high school aged student who resides in Loudoun County. Public, Private, and Home school students are welcome to join.

VSA of Loudoun is run by a volunteer board of directors.  Board members provide direction to the organization and determine programming. Board members take on responsibilities within the organization that fit their skill set, talents and time constraints. Board members may contribute to either/both the performing arts program or the visual arts program.  They may assist with marketing, fundraising, grant-writing, social media presence, our newsletter, teaching art classes, and/or working on our stage productions. An interest in the arts and/or helping individuals with special needs in all the skills required.

1) "on-call" educators for when we hold family events or when kids groups (school trips, scouts) come to Fox Haven

2) natural interpreters leading nature walks on Fox Haven land--guiding educational hikes, 1 hour long, geared toward an area of interest/expertise (e.g. birdwatching, plant identification, forays, stargazing)--may also instruct longer evening/weekend programs
