Child Companion Volunteer - Sully (Chantilly)
HealthWorks for Northern Virginia is seeking trained volunteers to provide short-term child supervision during parent medical appointments. This role supports access to care by reducing childcare barriers for families.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising children in a designated waiting area
- Engaging children in quiet activities (books, coloring, etc.)
- Maintaining a safe and welcoming environment
Requirements:
- 18+ years of age
- Background check
- Completion of volunteer training
- Ability to commit to a set weekly or monthly schedule
This is a non-clinical role focused on community support and patient access.
