Urgent Need: Raspberry Bed Care (Help us plant our legacy!)

Description

We're inviting volunteers to help us care for our legacy: thousands of new raspberry bushes that will one day become jars of berry jam. This planting is something we hope will last for generations of Growers to come, and right now those young beds need tending!

The primary and only focus of these shifts will be to weed and mulch our raspberry beds.

We're looking for help on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, June 30th — 8 AM–2 PM
  • Thursday, July 2nd — 8 AM–2 PM
  • Tuesday, July 7th — 8 AM–2 PM
  • Thursday, July 9th — 8 AM–2 PM
  • Saturday, July 11th — 8 AM–12 PM
  • Saturday, July 18th — 8 AM–12 PM

Join our inclusive farming community at A Farm Less Ordinary to help us cultivate a high-quality crop while providing meaningful employment for people with ID/DD. By weeding and mulching our raspberry beds, you'll help this crop thrive and support an empowered, integrated workforce right here in Loudoun County.
