Loudoun Diversity Council is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) specializing in education advocacy and equitable practices.
 
Urgent Need for Social Media Manager:
 
The Social Media will be responsible for creating quality posts and scheduling them for Twitter, Facebook & Instagram.
 
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
• Create regular quality posts for Facebook and Instagram  • Manage posts and social media accounts • Work with the President and Community Manager to publish information about events in a timely manner  • Adjust posts and information as necessary
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS 
 
• Ability to transform small snippets of information into interesting and engaging stories suitable for Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. • An interest in and knowledge of social justice issues • Must have access to internet, smart phone and be able to install Instagram, Facebook Pages Manager onto cell phone for management of accounts • Must be available to work from home 5 hours per week to manage social media accounts and check/respond to notifications  • Must be able to work independently and be able to make good judgement calls with regards to posting and/or re-posting articles, using hashtags, images, and driving new views to social media accounts organically • Must be willing to take initiative to communicate with team to find out needs to be communicated, events to post, information and donation requests that need to be put out on social media
