Needs From: Loudoun Cares

Volunteer: FORT Volunteers

FORT Volunteers (age 19+) support youth ages 12–18 by helping create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where teens feel seen and supported. Volunteers assist with check-in, help facilitators during workshops, support transitions between activities, and encourage positive engagement throughout the afternoon.

The role is typically on Sunday afternoons, with programs held at partner sites around Loudoun County such as Sterling Community Center, Fusion Academy, and local libraries. Volunteers may sign up based on their availability.

An ideal volunteer enjoys working with middle and/or high school youth, is calm and flexible, and feels comfortable engaging teens in conversation. Interest in youth mental wellness or social-emotional development is a plus.

A background check is required for all youth-facing volunteers, along with a brief online volunteer training and onboarding conversation and a commitment to maintaining a safe, supportive space for every teen.

Volunteer: Fairways for Hope Volunteer

Fairways for Hope volunteers play a key role in making our annual golf tournament a great experience for golfers and sponsors, and a meaningful fundraiser for the Ryan Bartel Foundation.

We’re recruiting volunteers for two areas: Raffle Committee and Day-of Event Support. Raffle Committee volunteers help in the weeks leading up to the event by securing raffle items, tracking donations, organizing items for display, and supporting ticket sales promotion.

Day-of volunteers help everything run smoothly on tournament day—assisting with registration and check-in, greeting guests, distributing player packs, selling raffle tickets, supporting raffle/auction areas, helping with contests or hole activations, and pitching in with set-up and tear-down.

If you’re organized, friendly, and enjoy a fun, fast-paced event environment, we’d love to have you on the team.
