Do you enjoy making a difference, especially when animals, specifically horses, are involved? Do you love creating content on social media? Do you want to build your resume with real-world experience?  

Bridle Paths seeks a creative volunteer to help create and post social media content on Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. 

We would love help with the following: 

Creating posts, reels, and stories Building a social media content calendar  Distributing content across various platforms  Monitoring platforms for performance, including integration with the Bridle Paths website and fundraising platform Interacting with the Bridle Paths social media audiences

What we are looking for:

Interest in/Experience with creating social media content  Strong written skills Attention to detail for proofreading and editing content Familiarity with Canva or other design applications

Are you interested in learning how to care for our healing herd from the ground up? Want to help as a program volunteer but are unsure where to start? Join our Horse Husbandry volunteer team! Learn more at https://bridlepathsva.org/volunteer/   We reset the arena for lessons and prepare the stalls for our horses on Saturdays from 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM and we need your help.    Duties include: Setting up riding lesson equipment in the arena Cleaning stalls Bringing in new bedding Cleaning and refilling water buckets Sweeping Other responsibilities are available depending on experience

Do you enjoy spending time with great people? Do you love horses?

Bridle Paths is looking for volunteers to help before, during, and after adaptive riding lessons to ensure client safety and help keep sessions on time and track.

Experience working with horses is not required. We train each volunteer to work with horses and riders in a therapeutic context. Younger volunteers partner with older, more experienced volunteers to help with horse and barn care and preparing horses for lessons.

Duties include: 

Horse handling and side walking Preparing tack and grooming supplies Grooming and tacking horses Cleaning stalls Cleaning equipment Cleaning feed and water buckets Sweeping Other responsibilities are available depending on experience

Volunteers must complete an application and participate in a barn visit before signing up to be added to the schedule. Interested volunteers will learn about the duties involved and determine fit for the tasks we need help with during their barn visit.
