Join our Say It LOUDoun! for engaging dialogue and reciprocal learning. Your participation allows us to advance solutions! Our very special guests for the evening include the following:

Presenter: Cherice Hopkins, Staff Attorney & Advocate, Rights4Girls;

Panelists: Skylar Johnson, Middle School Student, Nationally Recognized Fashion Designer & Seamstress; Faduma Khalif, Academies of Science Distinguished Graduate & Current Massachusetts Institute of Technology Student; Bellen Q., Elem. Student, Founder of The More than Peach Project (www.morethanpeach.com), & Professional Model; and Danyel Trammell, Cosmetologist and Hair-care Extraordinaire.

Girls of African descent in America have been referred to as the "forgotten demographic” and face unique challenges that must be attended to with dignity and attacked with keen focus & authenticity. Join an inspiring panel of young female achievers, traversing the world stage and who have gone beyond merely surviving in our schools to navigating exceptionally through our local systems and beyond.
