This is a walk around Franklin Park in Purcellville, VA. Residents from the Dept. of Mental Health residences are invited to participate in the Hike or enjoy games and snacks at the Rotary Pavilion at the Park. This walk to to raise funds to help Friends continue to support those disabled by mental illness. It is also raise awareness about the need for good mental health, and to erase the stigma associated with mental illness, to show that people with mental illness need and deserve to be treated with kindness and respect.
