Welcome to the Purcellville Police Department.

The Purcellville Police Department mission is to provide law enforcement services in partnership with the community that ensure a safe environment with the highest quality of life for all residents, business owners, and visitors to enjoy.

The Volunteers In Police Service (VIPS) Program is responsible for enhancing the mission, vision, and values of the Purcellville Police Department; as well as the promotion of community involvement, awareness, and support.

Our vision is to continue to provide excellent police services, combat crime, ensure the highest quality of life standards for all who live, work or visit Purcellville, and to continue building strong partnerships with the community we serve. Community engagement is the cornerstone of our policing philosophy and we strongly believe in the partnership between the police and the public. Our volunteers will serve along side our staff.

VIPS program is organized to aid, support and in all lawful manner, assist at the discretion and direction of the Chief of Police, Purcellville Police Department (PPD) and the Town of Purcellville, in the promotion of public safety and the doing of all other acts, matters and things incidental thereto or connected therein.
