Who We Are

PEC offers a wide range of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. Work may include: assisting with special events, outdoor projects such as tree plantings and stream cleanups, advocacy, clerical work, and more. The most pressing need for volunteers in Loudoun is associated with our Community Farm at Roundabout Meadows. Help us with planting and harvesting healthy food for Loudoun residents in need!

What We Do

Established in 1972, The Piedmont Environmental Council is now one of the most effective community-based environmental groups in the country. PEC works with the citizens of our nine-county region to conserve land, create high-quality communities, strengthen rural economies, celebrate historic resources, protect air and water quality, build smart transportation networks, promote sustainable energy choices, restore wildlife habitat, and improve people’s access to nature.
