Who We Are
Mission: To make others feel seen, heard, appreciated, supported, and loved by providing free cards to individuals, caregivers, hospitalized children and seniors, deployed service members, or anyone in need of a reminder that they are loved and appreciated.
A Bright Spot, based in Ashburn, Virginia, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to uplifting individuals through the simple act of sending supportive cards and notes.
What We Do
Key Aspects of A Bright Spot:
- Volunteer Engagement: Volunteers create homemade or store-bought cards filled with uplifting messages, which are then distributed to various organizations and individuals in need.
- Community Impact: The organization collaborates with hospitals, nursing homes, hospice facilities, and veteran centers to ensure that those facing challenges receive a “Bright Spot” in their day.
- Events and Meetups: A Bright Spot hosts community events, such as card-making meetups, to engage local residents in their mission.
Through these initiatives, A Bright Spot aims to brighten the days of those who need it most, fostering a sense of community and support.
Credit for service hours may be available. Please see A Bright Spot’s guidelines on the website.
