Station Stitchers

Station Stitchers was founded in 2010 by a group of local quilters who wanted to make quilts for hospital patients with acute care needs, starting with oncology patients and growing to other acute care departments like ICU, Neo-natal Intensive care, Dialysis, and Pediatrics.  As we have evolved, Station Stitchers has expanded its goals to makes quilts for the under-served populations of Loudoun County, Virginia.  We donate bedding to serve victims of domestic violence,  people in need of Family Services (foster care, child protective services, and adult services), seniors in nursing homes, veteran’s organizations, Tree of Life and the Purcellville Police Department.  We provide warmth and comfort to those in need.

Since its inception, Station Stitchers has donated more than 2700 quilts to our local community. The Station Stitchers studio provides a place of friendship, mentorship, creativity and inspiration for all of our volunteers. The volunteer led organization has no paid employees and all materials and equipment are funded through generous donations from community sponsors. COME QUILT WITH US!

We make quilts to donate to the under-served in our community. 

In 2021, we donated over 500 quilts to support the following organizations:

• Inova Lansdowne and Fair Oaks Hospitals
• Loudoun Area Women’s Shelter (LAWS)
• Loudoun Family Services – Foster Care
• Tree of Life Ministries
• Purcellville Police Department
• Mobile Hope
• Capital Caring Hospice
• Loudoun County Homeless Shelter
